About our recipes
Cocktail Tiles contains 1,248 cocktail recipes sourced from trusted public-domain and licensed culinary databases. We believe clarity matters — a well-written recipe is easier to follow and safer to mix.
Sourcing
Recipes are drawn from established cocktail authorities and open culinary archives. Every recipe detail page lists its original source under “Originally from.” We do not claim ownership of classic recipes that belong to the public domain.
How directions are prepared
Raw recipe text from sources often varies in style, measurement format, and clarity. We standardize and rewrite directions to create a consistent, readable voice across the entire collection. The rewrite process focuses on three things:
- Clarity — steps are ordered logically and written in plain language.
- Consistency — measurements use uniform units and formatting so you are never guessing.
- Safety — language is reviewed to avoid ambiguous or potentially unsafe instructions.
The ingredient lists, proportions, and attributions are preserved from the original sources. Only the instructional text is reworked.
Verification
While we aim for accuracy, we are not a laboratory. Measurements, proofs, and ingredient substitutions should be verified against the original source or a trusted bartending reference before you mix. If you spot an error, please let us know at kingthecole2002@gmail.com.
Attribution
Original authors and publications are credited on every recipe detail page. If a source is missing or incorrect, contact us and we will correct it promptly.
Drink responsibly
Cocktail Tiles is for adults 21 and over. Please know your limits, measure carefully, and never drink and drive.
